Clothes history: The dress was made in 1967, for the party held at the Copacabana Palace Hotel, as a tribute to Joan Crawford. According to Hildegard Angel, in and interview given in February 2017, the dress was originally confected as a caftan, being later reformed. [Three peaks were made at the front part of the dress, probably to make it better fit the body, an alteration that ended deforming the piece]. [the title “Pepsi Lady” is a reference to the fact that Joan Crawford was vice-president of the Pepsi-Cola company, beverage that was launched in Brazil at the time. Being married to one of the company’s biggest shareholders, the actress became a board member after his death].
